The Coaching Process
At the Work Shop we utilize a six-step process to ensure your goals are achieved.- We meet to create the foundation for the coaching relationship. Trust, confidentiality and accountability are the cornerstones for the relationship.
- We establish an explicit relationship contract that outlines how we will work together and what we can expect from one another.
- Often clients complete one or more assessments. The Work Shop has access to a variety of online assessments that include 360-degree feedback, leadership assessments, personality preference assessments, and career interest assessments. We are certified to administer these assessments and we invest the appropriate amount of time to explain the results.
- We develop a plan to achieve your goals; the plan includes goals, action steps, due dates, measurements, and resources needed.
- We engage in a program of coaching sessions. The Work Shop helps facilitate your development and change through empathetic listening, asking questions, challenging, role modeling, designing assignments, etc. At this step, we periodically evaluate, review and measure progress to ensure that you achieve your goals.
- We evaluate and celebrate results, end the formal coaching work and transition to long-term development activities. If applicable, and within the confines of confidentiality, we will also debrief with the sponsoring company to ensure its satisfaction with the results.
